Appalachian Clay Camp is where it all started back in 2013 and is still a vital part of what we do. We started with a small community focused summer clay camp for neighborhood kids. We have grown our programming to provide year long clay outreach programs culminating in our two week summer camp and art exhibit. 

The continued success of Clay Creators confirms our belief that art really does have the power to transform. Our kids come to us from a background of extreme poverty, truancy, and juvenile delinquency. They leave our clay programs with the self-confidence that they can create art, the knowledge that they can think critically, solve problems, learn from their mistakes and overcome challenges – knowing that their circumstances do not define who they will become.
